Hi Guys,

Here's a landscape i shot at Bicheno (Tasmania) during my recent trip over there. I got up at 05.00 hour to get some landscape shots at the beach as we had some stormy weather that night and the stormclouds where just clearing up that morning.

Greetings,

Great location Jeroen and the sky looks nice and moody. Looks like the grad you used is a little too strong though - perhaps a two or a three stop may have given more detail in the trees. I'd try to lighten the upper third and darken the lower third to balance them up a bit. Tristan

Looks a great place... I do feel the same as Tristan that the grad was too much, did you do any without? For me the forground does not match the sky and bg..... grads for me are balance exposure.....

Hi Tristan,

I really take your advise seriously as i consider you to be one of the best landscapers on this forum, and so i cleaned up the image a bit and tilted it a tiny bit CCW.
I think it looks much better this way!
Thanks!

Greetings,

Hi Jeroen,

I think it's a cracker of an image. Great atmosphere and your repost has made it a little better.

Nice work

Can't beat some of the landscapes in Oz imo - nice work and worth the early alarm call.
