Fallow Deer + repost
These deer occasionally appear in the grounds where I work but I could never get within shooting range of them. Finally managed to get close enough after investing in lots of cammo gear. I still feel like a bit of a prat wearing it when seen in public but it certainly pays dividends when trying to get close to subjects!

Hi Paul,

Nice image. Know what you mean regarding camo/public  Think I knw why John is asking about flash, the whites are looking a little hot, and the whole image could do with toning down a little.

Regards

Hello

Before reading the comments I thought - that's nice but the deer are looking a bit bright. Apart from that it looks nice.

Cheers

Many thanks........no flash was used, a bright but washed out sun had literally just risen when this was taken, it really picked the deer out from the dark shadows of the wood.

I've reworked the image a bit, histogram is bang on but I'm not to sure if it looks a bit warm now.....?

Nicely balanced picture for me. I didn't think the first one was too bad. None of the whites look burned out on my monitor. I must admit that fallow often look very white too me anyway. Whichever you prefer, it's a nice picture.

Second version pos a bit better for me - nice enviro shot and colours.

Very nice Paul. Looking on a crappy monitor Paul but the repost does look more natural. I bet they were wondering what that clicking sound was.

A very nice image in a wonderful setting particularly the contrast between the colourful autuminal leaves and the darker leaf litter. :toast:
