Color Checker

Does anyone use a Color Checker? I have just purchased one and took a WBalnced picture and opened it in PS CS2. I used the channels pickers to adjust the white grey and black.
When I go to the other colors on info my colors never read the same as what the chart says they should be. ow can I set the reds blues and greens?
