Hi Daniell,
I've had mine since the beginning of December. It's as advertised - amazingly low noise at high ISO's (I now think of ISO 800 to 1600 the way I used to think of ISO 200 to 400 on my D2Xs) and dramatically improved autofocus.
I have an ongoing series of reports on my field testing results of the camera on my blog on my website. Just go here (first entry on the D3 was on 7 December):

Daniel,
I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica and took my new D3 along. I photographed in the rain/cloud forests under very tough conditions and the camera performed beautifully. A bit heavy, but worth the weight given the images I was able to capture. Filemon
