As one of my favourite birds it's always a joy to shoot these animals. Sitting in the water with freezing feet, just to get that special POV is worth it all.

Well that doesn't look like a Grebe
This does........Sorry guys. Is there a way to remove the first post?
I was sat here feeling just a little sad... you have just cheered me up, they are both graet images...and I just love the Grebe, that water is fantastic and makes the bird stand out superbly.

It has to be said I'm not the hottest at bird ID but you had me really worried there for a moment! Anyway, luv both shots, you always give something to aspire to Edwin.

LOL.
I don't know how to remove the first post. The first is a Wood Warbler by the way.
Thanks a lot,

This is some sort of weird 'before and after' thing isn't it Edwin
Both superbly detailed images Edwin, and we get 2 for the price of one
The grebe looks spectacular - just wish it had its head turned a little to the viewers right but that's a minor nit.
Nice one - or two

Hi Edwin,
First shot of the Wood Warbler is very good, but the Grebe is fantastic!!
Superb exposure and as Phil says the water really makes the subject stand out.
Well worth the cold feet
Nice work

Love both but the Grebe edges it.

Neat way to get two images in a day
But when they're both crackers like this it's well worth it.

I love the Wood warbler, simply as it is a bird not often photographed like this!#
Excellent
