Hi All,
This was taken Saturday when we had a bit of sunshine. It was set up with that element but, being the UK, the sun promptly disappeared, so the flash that was intended as fill has become the main light scorce. :frown:
The water splash has been extended slightly to hide the edge of a container, otherwise it is the full frame image as shot.

Techs: D300, Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX II at 150mm and f/5.6. Sigma 530 super flash on camera at -0.7EV. 1/4000sec and ISO800

Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

Absolutely fantastic :toast: Great action. Well done.
It's nice to see the birds eye protection. I don't know the word in English.

Hi Ian,

 Very well captured, However many hours and however many times you have hit that delete button, it all makes up for it with this STUNNING image. Your skill and patience have been rewarded. I hope this is a big seller for you.

Outstanding work

I remember now  What I ment was the "eye membrane" that shuts just before hitting the water to protect the eye.

Thanks Guys.
And Edwin, yes, that is correct. It is, in fact, half open in this image.
