Congratulations to Charlie VanTassel (Avian), Todd Caudle (ESS), Dona Hilkey (Fauna), Larry Lynch (Flora), Ganesh Shankar (M/CU), David Clapp (M&N), Rob Graham (PA) and Brent Doerzman (WC# 309 - "A View from Below").
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the NPN moderators for their time, effort and dedication. Without their help, this weekly tradition would not be possible. And of course, our sincere thanks to all of you - the NPN members - for sharing your work, your insight and your passion with us. You are all a truly inspiring group of nature photographers!
We will now take a short break from the weekly picks and make our selections for the 2007 Editors Pick Awards. The winners will be announced in the January edition. All photos posted between 12/16/2007 and 1/5/2008 will be eligible for the first picks of '08.
It's an honor to be among such great company. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone! Thanks for the pick, you're all doing wonders for my mid-life crisis!
Here's to a year past, and another year coming, just full of inspiration from the most wonderful group of nature photographers on the planet. Humble thanks to everyone for sharing your photos and your comments. It's a privilege to be sharing the passion with you. I am so grateful.
Best wishes to each and every one.
