I took a trip over to Blue Hen Falls this morning after the "Blizzard of 07" left us all of 4 inches of new snow. It was about 22 degrees and you can see the ice is just starting to form around the base of the falls. Last year we had a complete cap over the falls by late January.
The color in the background is young beech trees that haven't dropped their leaves yet.
Nice view of Blue Hen, I was thinking of heading up that way or down to Hocking Hills tomorrow. I still haven't decided which, this makes me lean toward this area.

Hi Martin,
We're supposed to get up to 39 tomorrow with a mix of sun and clouds. The light might get be a bit contrasty, but the flow could be even better. Good shooting, wherever you decide to go.

Chuck,
Is there any truth to the rumors you are building a home there at Blue Hen Falls. If Blue Hen needs a mayor I think you should be its 1st! Kudos's for trekking up & down that hill.

Great shot Chuck, the snow is beautiful along with the falls, and the little beech trees add a interesting contrast to the scene, This is really nice

Jack, The reason I spend so much time there is because I'm looking for lost bottles of the Blue Hen whisky that used to be distilled at the falls. It's bound to be pretty smooth by now!

Nice image, Chuck. We didn't receive much more snow that you, but I'm always thankful for any. Besides, it maybe the only measurable snow we get.
