Taken on Otmoor RSPB last week.
I'd cropped to the left of the frame and added some space at the top as the second bird was far to close to the top of the frame.
If the isn't sharp then it's my photography and I remembered to sharpen in CS3 this time!!

Nice shot. It needs rotating ACW slightly.

Hi Gavin,
Nice shot. The added canvas has worked well. Couple of small nits, one has been mentioned the CCW rotation, the other is the whites on their right shoulders are hot, but that is being picky in an otherwise nicely composed shot.

Rob

Nits covered Gavin - I think it's a really nice shot - and a good clone job too

I like it but I would remove the water and the ducks completely then your eye is drawn only to the swans.

Hi Gavin,
Just noticed going diagonally right from top birds head, where you have added canvas, there are five "spots" that have cloned into the BG, they need cloning out

Lovely light and pose - well captured, and only nits have been covered already.

LOL Andy, Once you see one you see them all, Just seen some more at the top of the frame above the right wing then a further two just in from the top right hand corner of the frame
Ok I'll put the magnifying glass away now

Rob
PS I did have the nickname Hawkeye when I was younger, due to my ability to spot birds and animals etc LOL

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Yep I see them now, Rob! Nothing the healing brush won't fix in a second.
I'll do a repost when it lets me.
Cheers

I can't believe "hawk-eye Astbury" missed those. Even I spotted them instantly and I'm practically blind!!!!! Great shot. I would chop a bit from the top personally and have the higher Swan nearer the top so they have more room to land. Subjective as always though

Very nice, nits already covered re CCW rotation etc, but I would not crop the water out personally as it gives context to the landing action.

Hopefully some one will read this and be able to answer my question......
Just working on a repost of the image, Rob's spots removed, rotated a touch but left the water in as I think it gives the context Nigel mentions. A decision I'd already made when posting the first time.
Question is this, what is the best way to try and dub down the whites on the shoulders, everything I tried darkens the rest of the image? I've got Lightroom and CS3 to work with.
