Same fall as my last ESS post different view. This was the one and only image I got from this spot. I made my way out there, then the rain came... where was my rain gear you ask... why it wasn't with me it was under a rock overhang back where I started. So needless to say I didn't hang out here to long!

Nice shot Thomas. I love the detail in the FG elements in contrast to the softness of the "Foggy Falls"
I remember your other shot! So, now you have joined Daniel Boone and all the indians and cavemen who have taken refuge under that overhanging rock! I really enjoy it when those things happen where you become one of many to do something over a vast historical timeframe!! (ahh, except for the wet photo gear!!!)
Oh, and, once again, a wonderful photo of a place with a thousand vantage points!!

I like this shot a lot....I'm one to leave the debris and such where they are when taking a "natural" waterfall picture. Although if you are not you could have removed that log from in front of the falls.
I like the shot the way it is, but I'd think some people would want you to move that thing out of the way.
I think I like the top half of the image a lot more than the bottom. Overall, it works nicely.

Thomas, this is a nice shot. I'd agree with Richard that the top half works better for me. The reds in the bottom dominate a little too much for me.

Thanks all! I really wish that I had my rain gear with me, there was a lot of potential over there. Anyway here is a slightly cropped version. How does it work? any better?

Thomas I liked the first one but I do belive I like the crop a little better. It gives a different feel. In looking back and forth my feelings are that the first one is about the area as a whole. The second one while showing the surroundings is all about the falls. This does give me what I would consider a stronger focal point and I do not notice the debris as much.
I like them both as two separate ideas of focal interest. And while I still love the first, the cropped image shows detail due to the "close-up" view not seen in the original. Just wonderful feelings come from these two images. Thanks, Troup

Thomas, I really like this version. You have taken some outstanding shots of waterfalls and streams this year. Another winner in my book!
