Roxborough
Taken weekend before last, during the last big snow, at Roxborough State park.

Others got shots of a fox and a wildcat the same day, but with my luck and timing, all I found were mule deer.

Sony a700
Sigma 100-300
F/5.6
1/640 sec
ISO 100

He's a fat dude for a two point.

Nice focus and good to have him looking right at you. I can appreciate the bobcat issue. I know that I have three living in my backyard right now, and I've only seen them once, and never gotten a photo. My wife has seen them twice while I've been out doing landscape stuff. Mule deer on the other hand. I have to step over them to walk out to my mailbox.

Yeah, it's rare NOT to see 2 dozen mule deer at Roxborough.

I can usually find a coyote or a fox on the really bad (or good, depending upon your perspective) weather days at Roxborough. I spotted a coyote but he was too far away for a decent shot.

Great shot Jay. I like the soft white tones surrounding the deer.

He’s even got the “Dear-in-the-headlights” look!
