Taken in the Cairngorm National Park, a handsome fellow, but not much of a 'rack' to talk about :-( Thought the background complimented this majestic creature quite well
Great eye contact and I agree about the background complimenting the stag very nicely.
My initial reaction was the deer was a little too tight in the frame, in front of and below the animal. On reflection though, I guess more space below the stag may not work so well after all, with perhaps too much featureless white spoiling the image. So perhaps just a bit more room in front would be good, but still a nice image as it is.

I like this too, and echo much of Justin's comment in that I think it needs space for the virtual legs/feet, however it would only work with some OOF foreground features rather than an expanse of just snow, so I think this works OK as presented, Well done!

Lovely sharp image. Crop is fine for me but perhaps a bit of leg showing might have been even better. Hope to be there in February but i gather finding these fellows is not easy.
Hi guys guess it comes to personal preference, may think about another for tomorrow. To be honest Graham if you find them they do get quite close. Are you on your own or with a group? A guy to meet is Neil McIntyre who would help you I am sure for a day or so guiding

Nice image with rich colours Stephen a bit more leg room I think would have helped.

Very nice. Slightly less centred in the frame would help though. The lack of virtual legs doesn't bother me. I wish I could get that close to the wild Red Deer around here.

That's a beauty - lovely light and colours. I think you might be able to crop a really nice portrait out of that picture as well. I'd certainly have a try if it were mine (I wish).

Nice light on a nice subject well captured - and always love these virtual legs debates!
