Hi All,

I recently reworked this image for a fine print and thought I'd post it here for your thoughts.

It was made in October of 2005 on a very cold morning (12 degrees!) on the East Fork of Rock Creek, not far from the East Fork Campground.

The early light was very quiet and the color was subdued. The mood was very contemplative. I hope I captured that in this image.

Tachihara 4x5
300mm Nikor
Astia 100f
81-b filter.

Your Thoughts are always appreciated.

Please send me a 30"x40" evaluation copy, I need to study the detail more closely. :jump:

My eye travels through the frame, up that large aspen to that splash of gold foliage...didn't even notice the horizontal branch until it was pointed out. Beautiful Preston!

Very nice Preston. It really has that look and feel of being right there taking this all in.

Thanks so much for your comments. This meadow is a wonderful place that I visit every time I'm in the area. Dan and Michael Gordon really liked it.

MIchael, a huge print of this would be really nice, but I can't make anything that big; I'd have to have someone make it for me.

Happy New Year everyone! :toast:
