This is from last year oct'06 by san mateo beach. I could not find any interesting foreground so just captured the rays. My composition skill did not improve much this year. Hope, i would improve next year a little.

I like the color version better. the other one is too dark for my tastes.

I agree with Richard, looks like to strong of a ND grad on the B&W image. Awesome view of the rays though, they are nice and strong!

Its the PP made it look dark. Actual image has details, there are no pixels on the dark side of histogram.

I really like the color image Murali and I agree the first image is a bit too dark.

Hi Murali,

Sorry for the lateness in my reply. I like the composition in the first image (its very strong), but find the contrast to be too high. Of course, this is a personal observation so please take it as such. The second photo has nice tones but its composition doesn't captivate me as much as that of the first.
