D300 question.

New D300 is here. battery grip coming soon. now i'm looking for a camera plate for the Arca-Swiss ballhead with the battery grip on.
What fits the battery grip this that is avialable now?
RRS says "taking orders" and there is no info at all on the Wimberly site (I'll call them tomorrow).
anyone find a plate available now? I really needed the plate in a week for a photo trip - guess i'll be hand-holding!

Hi Sandy,
I think that what they mean is that the right angle plate (L Plate) is not yet available. Any standard Arca style plate will still work, but you won't have the option of turning the camera 90 degrees unless you can adjust the head to do so.

Ok, got it! Guess I'm too excited with a new toy to be thinking well! Of COURSE I can still drop the ballhead.... duh..

Kirk Photo has their plates in stock and the "L" plate shipping on or before Jan 2.
