Taken on my last backpack trip of summer in Sept in Goat Rocks Wilderness. A beautiful view and evening to say the least. I have a couple things that bother me about this image, but curious what others say first.
20D / some settings / and a couple filters ....
Thanks in advance for all comments!

Yeah, I've been up in this spot many times. One of the best Rainier views anywhere, especially from further up that ridge you're on to the East. Um...critique....well, it's definitely tilted to the right. Easy fix. About 2 degrees should do it. The mountain is just a tiny bit too dark. The foreground really isn't all that interesting but I can see exactly why you used it the way you did and the image is better for it. Love the sky and that little bit of haze adding some depth to the background.

Thanks Marc! I swear I must be off balance, lately I have been missing my horizon and off a degree or two. Another version with tilt fix and slight dodge to the mt.
I remember you mentioning before this is one of your fav places and I see why. I have only been up there a few times but each time has been a great experience. I did get up onto the East ridge as well for the nice view of Rainier (not at sunset or sunrise which I need to do next time). If you don't know Rainier is coming (which I did not the first time) it's quite breath taking making the last few steps from no view to wow!

I must be tilted the other way. The first version appeared right on level to me and the 2nd version seems to lift to the right; but then I've never been to the Goat Rocks.

Take out the top and bottom thirds and you would have a real nice, interesting shot, Adrian. The sky is nice, the foreground in not too interesting, the valley is nice but my eye is wandering looking for something to latch on to, some path to take. The middle half is real nice. I want you to lead my eye, I want you to tell me what to look at, I want to be led, show me the magic!
