This is an an old favorite slide I have been working over for quite awhile. The original was a quite dark, hand held Kodachrome 25 slide, steadied on my knee after a climb of Eldorado Peak in North Cascades National Park.
I used many layer masks to separate out parts of the image. As you can see, the results are a mixed bag. The outcropping on the left is pretty dead, but it was dark in the slide and I don't know what else I can do to it. Do you think I added too much color reflection to the snowbank?
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Not bad at all for a hand held shot. It obviously suffers from being underexposed a bit, which certainly doesn't help the color, but the color as a whole looks fine to me. If anything its a little too blue. The snow looks fine.

Too blue? Do you mean on both the outcropping and the distant peaks?

Too much top and too much bottom. The scene isn't really that great but if you focus my eye to the center, the real meat, I see art.

Marc, the blue in the distance looks natural enough, its mainly the outcrop and the clouds. Now its not *that* much overboard, but there is a definite blue hue, at least to my eye.

Thank you for your comments. Here is a rework with your suggestions. It's cropped on all four sides and some blue removed in the shadows and midtones with the Color Balance tool. Also quickly lightened with Levels.
Still looks dead to me.
I've gotta stop living in the past and forget these old slides.

Yep, the 2nd one is much better, no blue and focuses more on the nice part of this piece.
