Has anyone calibrated and printed off the high resolution 1920-by-1200-pixel display screen. Can it be calibrated to do a decent job? Or should i keep using the older CRT i have?
thanks
Joyce (a real novice at this printing thing)

I don't have your exact setup - I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz Core Duo. However, I've had good success making prints off of my Epson 2200 using the calibrated monitor on my laptop. Since updating to Leopard however, I've had to manually adjust the ink density setting in the Epson drivers, to a saved setting of -15. I print through both Lightroom and PS CS3 and have been very happy. Hope this helps

The screen adjustment tools that ship with the Macbook Pro do a pretty good job of calibrating, Applications -> Utilities -> ColorSync Utility. I've had good results printing from PS CS2 and Aperture to my HP.
