A shot from back in November at Arches. Let me know what you think, thanks.

I like this one alot, Marc. Everything is perfectly in focus and you did a fantastic job with a difficult exposure (sky vs. dark foreground). My only nit is that the burning in the corners is a bit extreme here. Overall, this picture has a powerful, desolate feel to it.

Scott, I agree. I wanted SOME burning to accent the radiant feel of the image around the tree but in hindsight it's a bit strong. I also noticed the sharpening haloed the right side a bit. Bear with me folks, as I guess this web presentation was a bit rushed. Thanks for the comment.

Very moody. I like it, with the caveats that you and Scott have pointed out. My not-terribly-good laptop monitor also brings out a slight halo on top of the arch.

Very unique take on Arches. I love the twisted tree trunk and the clouds add a perfect background texture. (not to mention the arch!!)

very interesting perspective on this, I like it. It's almost like someone looking through a window, one who is outside looking in, love the clouds behind the "window"

Very cool and moody shot! I like the dark ominous feel of the rocks framing the trees. If it were my shot, I would probably lighten up the trunk of the tree to separate it from the rock. Both have a very similar gray tone.

Definitely gives one a sense of foreboding. I wonder what this image would look like with a little less contrast?
