Every Christmas I receive a Sierra Club Engagement Calendar, just for the great photography. I always look through to see who I know.
Lo and behold Mark has an image as does Adam Gibbs.
The images are just wonderful.
Just wanted to let everyone know.
Mark hopefully we can discuss the procedure sometime.

Thanks everyone. Sometimes we just get lucky.
Jim, my understanding is that Sierra Club works with a "closed" list of photographers, at least that has been the policy in the past. A photog friend of mine contacted them a few years ago asking for submission guidelines and was told they were not working with any "new" photographers at that time. They only accept film so as a result there should be at least one opening for new work as I won't be submitting in the future now that I have switched to digital....no big loss for me as this was only my third sale to them in about 10 years...not that I'm complaining....

Mark,
I saw that they have submissions by invitation only. But they did say that you could submit unreturnable prints or tear sheets for future consideration.
Consider changing your name to Gnass, Clifton or Dykinga.

Mark, congrats on the image. Thank you for pointing out that the submissions are only film. They are not easy people to get a hold of.
