Hi to all,

Does this look O.K.??? , I normally sharpen all my web images before resizing ( Usm 150,0.5,1 x2 or 3 ) but this time I've run a couple Usm's over the image after resizing ( Same settings ) , I've probably asked this question before but should I only sharpen after resizing ???

Regards

Hi Gary,

Yes , it was baited , with peanuts , peanuts and more peanuts  , a very difficult bird to get close to without offering something in return.

I love the colours here, that green is one of my favorite colours and it goes very well with the subtle reds. Tristan

Hi Andy, one of my bogey birds too...in fact, one of my many bogey birds  Looks fine to me, possibly a bit of a halo appearing under the beak, but nothing a bit of Contracting your selection by a couple of pixels couldn't sort out. I have always been told to sharpen after everything has been done. Sharpening is the very last thing to do before saving for web. Comp looks fine but if I'm being really picky and it's purely my preference, I'd like a tad more on the left, not much at all, but I reckon another 20 or 30 pixels would balance it up perfectly...or not  Exposure looks great too :toast:

Agree with Graeme - a tad over-sharp in places but a great shot of a very hard to photograph bird :toast:

Really nice shot - all I ever see is a white rump disappearing at speed. I can't help wondering if it would look even better slightly less central, but it seems a shame to make the bird smaller really. I can see where all the peanuts are his crop is pretty full by the looks of it!
