Like most people it seems I've been suffering from dreadful manflu, over two weeks now and still not much better, combined with xmas mither and I needed to get out and have some peace and quiet...
so obviously Martin Mere over the xmas period was the obvious place to go... NOT !
anyhow, I ended up at the furthest hide where the masses rarely venture, absolutely dreadful light but hey at least it was quiet :-)
shooting at 800asa and wide open in the rain and greyness, black and white seemed an obvious choice, I dont think it'll be a keeper but it made my day
D2Xs, sigma 300-800, 800asa 1/60 at f5.6, pushing my luck

Well given the circumstances I think you have come away with a great shot. I really like its comp and simplicity.
A great shot imho, well done
