OT - 4x5 Wedding Pictures
Last year I started talking with a talented wedding photographer in Denver about the possibility of shooting 4x5 for detail shots. We agreed it was an interesting idea but would need to be a 'Martha Stewart' level wedding to make it justifiable. So far I have done 2 weddings for detail work with my 4x5 and have several scheduled for 2008. This wedding was shot up in Beaver Creek a few weeks ago.

Thought some of you might like to see these.

Superb quality Richie ! Outsanding detail and composition.
Do the print sizes ordered justify the LF resolution & expense ?

Nice stuff, Rich! Hope it works out and is profitable. I'm sure they'll make nice keepsakes.

Great Rich. Beautiful photos.

I'm planning to take a 4X5 B&W shot of my wife's family when my brother in law gets married this summer. Of course I have not yet figured out how I'm going to fire the camera while I'm in the photo, but thats a different matter. I don't think I'd be brave enough to try detail shots.

Thanks everybody.

I have really enjoyed starting to do this kind of work and each project provides me with new challenges and the ability to try new things and learn new techniques. Wish it was paying more than it is. But at least it is something. For right now I still want to build up a portgolio of these shots and the opportunites being provided is the greatest part of the gigs for now.

Mel - if you need a hand with taking the shot and one of us are around we woudl be ahppy to help out. Just let us know.
