Thanks, Rick. Full page, yes, but they had to leave off about a fourth of the image to squeeze it on there. Worse things have happend, eh? On a side note, I finally landed the 1Ds III yesterday and will be doing some heavy shooting this next week. And I do mean heavy...

Pretty cool Marc (on both the mag pic and the cam). :toast: Do they still require you to send in physical proofs or can one upload images now?

Oh that's one question I do have for you Marc - how does one submit images to said magazine? I've scoured both the magazine and their website and haven't found anything...

If you are sending digital files for review to a magazine you haven't worked with before I would send a DVD of the images (not too many) along with a big, bold, color contact sheet (6-12 images per page) so they can quickly reference the images on the DVD. Also, include a letter stating specific intentions/ideas for image use, if any. Lastly, include some promo piece like calendar (I send my calendars out to all my publishers just so they remember me ;-) or 8x12 print portfolio with a SASE. if needed.

Rick, go to the main page and scroll ALL the way to the bottom. There's a little tiny link that is titled submissions...

Double congrats Marc! I'm very jealous you have the Mark III already. It will be some time before I can afford that baby. I can't think of someone who deserves it more than you though. I can't wait to see some prints taken from that camera. :toast: :toast:

Major congrats on both the ongoing publicity thru Outdoor Photographer and also for upgrading to a 1Ds III.... man from upgrading to the 16-35 II and now the 1Ds III, your backpack is going to be a lot heavier...... Can't wait to hear your assessment of this camera.

Give me a week or two and I'll get a full-res up on my site somewhere.

My photo gear, (tripod, 3 lenses, filters, body) weighs 21 pounds. Not terrible, but it's still quite an extra load. Usually 60 pounds or so for Winter backpacking and 45 in summer.

Thanks.

Marc, congrats on the OP spread (we bought that print and love it), and congrats II on the 1Ds MkIII! Man, I'm trying to imagine your already-immense dynamic images now at 21mp... might be time for a new site: AdamusWallMurals.com. Your work deserves that camera (and vice versa). Ok, ok, so when's the next trip into the Cascades??

Catching up on mail received while we were gone and just opened the new OP. Nice shot Marc, congrats from me too. :toast:
