I just received my NEW Nikon 300mm afs f4 lens. I also have a Sigma EX DG 1.4 TC and Kenko auto Extension tube set. Has anyone used these on the Nikon 300mm f4 AFS? Or is there and anything known about these two items that could damage or void the warranty?
THANKS
MK

The Siggy converter should work fine.

Ronnie Gaubert reported that he wrecked two sets of Kenko tubes within maybe a year or so because they're not built well enough to work with heavy lenses & cameras.

I use the Nikon 1.7X with mine and it's great. The 300mm already focuses so close that I've never used extension tubes on it.

The Kenko Tubes will work fine. I use them all the time with this lens. The lens has a Tripod collar, so the extension tube will not be bearing the weight of the lens. As John said, the 300mm f4 focuses very close on it's own. Adding the extension tube makes the 300 a great macro lens.
