Winter Dressing

As Tim B mentioned recently, I am beginning to have a nice sampling of shots from this spot on Stranger Creek near my home. Now I feel compelled to complete a full seasonal documentation of this local waterway. Dressed in her finest winter garb; taken this morning at 8:00 a.m., 17 degrees.

That's a pretty awesome shot, Wayne. The snow and the colors in the sky... just fantastic! We haven't seen any snow here in Little Rock, except for a few sleet-ish particles a couple days before Christmas.

Wayne, this is really nice - I love the channel of reflections working its way up the middle, as well as the subtle colors of the sky. The subtle reds of the sky seem to be reflected in the brush and leaves, too. Nicely done!

Wayne, I really like the curve of the water leading to that nice color in the sky.

I also envy your ambition to go out and get a picture like this. I planned on going out but when I looked out it was all cloudy. As I was drinking coffee and reading the paper later I looked out again and saw colors just like yours.

I've tried doing seasonal shots from the same locations and Winter always seems to be the hardest one to get. Nicely done.

Very pretty, Wayne! Beautiful reflection and wonderful colors in the sky. I really like the curve in the creek. Kudos to you for heading out so early (I was a wimp and waited til around 11 am!) -- I may try to brave the early-morning cold myself tomorrow.
