Dave this was taken at 13.40 in some decent light.
I do find Barn Owls really odd at times
I had spotted this bird a week ago out at midday, perched on a branch and sunning itself.
I had been driving from a to b when this happened, so I mentally made a note and made a return visit. It doesn't alaways go according to plan and what may seem an ideal time proves to be no good later. Or as in this case "Bingo"

Quality shot :toast: I'm currently tracking a Barn Owl in my neck of the woods, if I get a shot half as good I'll be really pleased.

Really nice, looks to almost have a soft focus effect. Lovely image. Tristan

Outstanding picture, superb colours. If it was mine, I might just be tempted to see what it looks like without that long grass stalk. Not a criticism just an idea. :toast: :toast:

A wonderful image of an excellent subject in pristine condition. Only one thing wrong with this picture, it's not one of mine!

Stunning, I too wonder what it would look like with a little carefull cloning of some of the grass stems, but that is neither here nor there... this is simply great.
