Sorry for being naive but I got an order that some of the images that I submitted as 5" x & 7" were accepted for postcards and now they need the full files uncropped. I not sure what that means. If I submitted the 5" x 7" for the postcards do they need the original large size PSD's. Desperate for any advice. Thanks Kevin McNeal

Kevin,

I would contact them and ask them for specifics. What size in inches? Resolution? Sharpened, or not? What Color Space? What file format?

If they inititally viewed images that you had cropped during processing, I would assume those would be the images they want. If they want full-size files, I would send them your cropped, full size, flattened files in tiff format.

I believe most postcards are 4 x 6 and therefore a different aspect ratio than the 5 x 7s you submitted.

They probably need the uncropped versions (assuming original is from a 35mm'ish camera) so they have more to work with when doing the cropping.

Best regards,

Paul

Kevin, are these for Tom H.?? If so, I sized mine to 5X7, 330 dpi, Adobe RGB, 16-bit tiffs.
