Does anyone have the address and phone of a M/B repair place?
I have a decent Manfrotto Carbon fiber tripod with a broken leg that I'd like to get repaired as a backup.

thanks!

Sandy, I have to ask. How did you break a carbon fiber leg? Just curious.

Don, it takes great talent.
You have to run over it at exactly the right angle.

Whow! Never ran over one but pulled away and left it with a real nice ballhead attached. Buy the time I got back it was gone

Sandy, just for future reference, if you will run over it several times, the angle of attack isn't as important!

Thanks, I'll do a better job next time!
Actually, it is more the lever that is crushed, rather than the leg actually broken - it's only bent , I hope.

Hey Sandy,

Check with Glazers in Seattle, too. They're our source of common replacement parts, but I don't know if they do repairs.

Ouch! Hey, that's some skillful vehicle maneuvering, there, Sandy. I thought I had a lock on that specialty.
Yeah, Glazers IS a great resource, as Hank mentioned. There's a big shop in Portland, too, that might be able to help. Who, of all of you in Portland, remembers the name of the place?

This is Glazers' site, and their # is 1.888.531.3232. Browsing leads me to believe they shop out their repairs, but here's the contact for that: repairs@glazerscamera.com.

Just a word of warning here: my Manfrotto tripod arrived with one of the thumb nuts broken. They replaced it, but they were a l..o..n..g.. time getting it done. Just under four months in fact. If there's a chance Glazers' would be faster, I'd certainly try it.
