Oregon Palms
Low tide at sunrise along the southern Oregon coast. I tried to look up on Google for the name of these plants other than seaweed...but after a few minutes, I gave up.

Fantastic handling of the exposure, Rick. Very unique foreground subjects here. I love these things.

Agreed, awesome shot Rick. I really enjoy the way you've framed the plants with a great background and, as noted, how you've handled the light.. I'd be tempted to increase the saturation in the sky a tad, but that's personal preference. Is the milky white on the right below the rock a new wave coming in? A shot without that would be preferable as my eye gets dragged there a little because the foam around it is sharper.

The strange plants do add to the image as well as the light falling on them. Very nicely composed.

Really nice shot, Rick, weird plants.

Those plants alone would make a great subject...even better when you can combine them with a nice sky and coastal setting.

Thanks for the plant ID Peter! And thanks for the comments. This one was way hard for me to compose for some reason. I originally felt that the comp was too left heavy.
