I'm going to be traveling to a conference in the San Antoinio Tx . area and would appreciate some pointers on where the wife and I might find some birds or animals to photograph while there.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Richard, I don't know if you have time to go the gulf coast but padre island national seashore has good potential for bird photography.

Texas hill country is known for it's wildflowers around end of Mar or April.

Richard,

You should consider visiting some private ranched around the San Antonio area. The Texas Hill Country Nature Photography Alliance is a group of landowners in the Texas Hill Country that offer nature photography experiences on their ranches. All ranches were in the ICF 2006 Pro-tour and have now opened their private ranches to nature photography. All have dedicated photoblinds and incredible scenery. Please visit our website, at http://www.imagesforconservation.org/travel/region/hill+country.

If you want more info please feel free to call me at 830-833-0958.

Best regards,
