A marvelous way to end the old year and begin a new one.

Find an image that works as your favorite (or most heated) movie and come and play.

Thanks for the plug, Carol! I wish we were allowed more than two posts for this challenge, because I'll bet there are a lot of ideas out there. I know I could post a dozen with different titles all by my lonesome!

Todd, somewhere along the way during this past year, I discovered the Weekly Challenge. I think it's a forum that is sadly overlooked. I was delighted to see your own plug this morning in RMNP and figured I would add my own 2-cents to see if I could generate a bit of interest in WC too.
Recently I've even gone out shooting to find images that would fit whatever challenge was out there.
I guess bottom line is I would really like to see more folks contribute.
This week is really working. We've had a dozen posts today and I think that's grand.
Later this week, I'll look for your second post and I have one too.
Onward to more movies ...

Carol, great points - and I agree that the WC gallery is overlooked by many.

I admit that i have overlooked the WC Gallery quite a bit since i am a member here, but i'm gonna try and change this in 2008

Carol, as I mentioned elsewhere, if not for your starting this thread I'm sure that, after 5 1/2 years on this site, I still wouldn't have looked in the WC gallery for the first time. Talk about being overlooked...

In any case, I've rectified that and will endeavor to do a better job of checking in with some regularity in the future. Thanks for getting me over there in the first place.

I think this is a particularly good topic this week, usually the theme limits the entries to subject matter from one or two of the other forums. This week there are already entries that would fit in Avian, ESS, Fauna, Flora, Macro, and Man and Nature. Great idea Todd!

Jim, Kerry, Todd, Wim, and others, This has been and is a good week on WC. Lots of good images. Some are really excellent and most convey the meaning or feeling of the movie they are illustrating. I'm glad so many folks have picked up the ball and joined in the movie party. It's making WC more interesting and fun.

Carol & Todd, I find that in the last 6 months or so the category has picked up in contributions in both numbers and some really outstanding quality overall. Truthfully, I only really started posting there & giving WC suggestions maybe a year back now myself, and found my images met only certain WC requests many times. I feel this is a positive thing however, as it made me go back on archives to at least see if I could meet the requests. As you stated Carol, it also brings about ideas that get folks out tracking down maybe the not so obvious scenes to meet a challenge. This is a bit easier at times when the list is extended out a bit for those type of hunters so to speak. Always a good area to review and post in IMO.

Folks, the images keep getting better and better. Each new image fits the theme even better the previous. I'm awestruck.

It's wonderful seeing so many participate this week. What is the record for most participants in one week's challenge? This one must be close to if not the most participated in WC.
