I am currently using a HP 930 deskjet for my printing needs... I am however looking to upgrade to a better photo printer. I would like to try and stay under $300 if possible. I am looking for something that gives excellent quality and possibly archival quality... as I would like to make some prints and try and sell my photography locally to start.
Printing 8x10 is a given... but are there any printers out there that will allow me to print even larger at home and kinda fit the above needs?
Which printers should I look at?
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, if you want to go bigger then 8x10 then you'll probably end up paying more than $300,
if your fine with 8x10 have a look at the canon pixma printers they make great print and will fit your budget nicely.

The Epson R1800 will give you archival prints up to 13" wide. I saw something online a while back that said the Epson store was selling them for $399. That's about $100 less than their usual street price.
Kevin, I have just recently purchased a Epson RX680 printer. I simply love this printer. The print colours, 7 cartridgrs in all can be adjusted to you specified colour printing outcome. I was amaized at the low cost of this neat printer. I have swore always by HP and was hard pressed to change, but now I am glad I have. It is a high definition printer and the catridges are long lasting and can be purchased according to colour needs. I origionally purchased this to print greeting cards, but the print quality would be excellent for sellable 8 X 10's Might be well worth your time to check it out.Selling price. $180.00 with a $30. rebate. You can download from a media card, jump drive, cd, and has many other features like duplex printing.
