I'm planning an 8-10 day photo trip centered on Portland in mid-June. I'm somewhat familiar with the area, but I'm looking for recommended photo locations, particularly in the Pamelia Lake/Mt Jefferson area; Mt. Hood area (wide-angle viewed from west from Bald (?) Mountain); and along the seacoast, perhaps Ecola State Park. We plan to alternate backpack and motels. I want my son (also a photographer) to get a taste of the mountains/forests and also the seacoast. I've attached an image from Lake Superior/Pictured Rocks so you can see my style, or you can take a look at my NPN portfolio.
Thanks for any locations or websites you may suggest.

Mid-June is a bit early for Bald Mountain - you'll probably be walking on some snow drifts, given the winter we're having, and the mountain will still be completely snowed in. But the coast would be a great choice, and the Gorge will be at its spring peak. A nice way to see Hood during that window of time is to visit the Hood River Valley. The orchards are leafed out, and it's quite stunning, even with a lot of snow still on the mountain.
If you have time, another good area during that part of the year is the high desert country east of Bend/Redmond. You've probably seen a lot of Painted Hills photos here, but there are other excellent hikes and destinations in that area that would round out a trip.
Bring your rain gear...! June isn't quite summer here....

There are a few area locations mapped here. Click on the balloons for more info.
You can get nice wide-angle views of Hood from Lookout Mountain and Lolo Pass . (You can get a real good idea of the view by clicking on the Google Earth button in the Additional Resources section of these links; it opens Google Earth at the location.)

Don't forget southern WA coastline with some nice lighthouses just over the border: Cape Disappointment and North Head Lighthouses. Also Mt. St. Helens is only 45 minutes away, and Mt. Adams has some nice views approaching from the south from Hood River, OR. I'd agree that the gorge waterfalls will be beautiful at that time of year, also the waterfalls at Silver Falls state Park near Silverton, OR. Mt. Hood from Lolo Pass will be good at that time of year, and the rhodys may be in bloom then too. I would consult and online tide chart before planning a trip to the coast. My guess is that there will be some nice negative tides in June. Try Hug Point on the Oregon coast too, just south of Ecola by about 15 miles. The Oregon Coast Trail follows the coast for about 385 miles and has some wonderful backpacking, hiking, and photography opportunities. There are some nice sites online pertaining to this trail.
