Just a note from my third of the Mods to say a very Happy New Year to all our members and visitors, and wishing you all success in your photography in 2008.
Although you may not actually read all that many comments from us, we are there in the background viewing and enjoying all the work posted on UKNP (and just occasionally having to edit!).
From my own experiences, I still learn a great deal from the many postings and subsequent critiques from all our contributors, many thanks Guys and Gals, keep them coming and keep this the number 1 Nature Photographer’s site on the WWW.
2007 has seen a good number of new members, both from the UK and The Continent, and it has also seen many of our members featuring in numerous publications and as award winners – long may it continue!
As we say in Scotland - slainte-mhath (slangiva, cheers, etc.!!!)
Very Best Wishes
Phil
Now where did I put that Malt?

All the very best to you Phil, and Tom and Nick too - without the efforts of the three of you we'd never have such a strong forum
Yes. Many thanks to all for making UKNP what it is, the best (and most civil) place in the on the www for having a online chat about UK Nature Photography related subjects.
Its good to see the site growing weekly with new members joining. It's also good to see an increase in those paying the 'membership' as this enables Jim to keep the servers running which is kind of important really, especially as we are the largest sub-group of NPN.
To the amateurs that lurker, why not jump in and participate it really isn't that big a step - honestly.
To the Pro's that lurk looking for the latest news, sites, subjects and ideas ... why not give something back by participating and become part what is becoming the biggest nature photography resource, and community, in the UK.
There will be changes in the 3rd quarter of the coming year, but more on that at a later date but it may be worth ensuring that your NPN 'Portfolio' is upto date and your name is on UKNP Photographers list..., but first and foremost we have our conference on the 26th Jan so I hope to see you there.
New 'Gatherings' and the return of the Challenges is coming very soon... just let me finish this turkey first
Happy new year.
