What a job the moderators do week after week selecting images from the talent pool here, I'm sure that the yearly picks are agonizing!

These picks this year are truly remarkable, and supremely represent the finest of the fine photography we see here daily. Congrats to the winners, and thanks to the fine people who post and critique here! :toast:

Hi All

What a pleasant surprise when Tom Wylie telephoned me last night to say I had been picked as the winner of the Avian section of the 2007 Annual EPs. I consider it a great honour to be picked from the many thousands of outstanding images we all enjoy on the forum each year and thank you all for your encouraging and often helpful comments.

I have not been very active on the forum of late due to pressure of work including getting a new website on line. However I hope to be back posting and commenting on the Avian forum soon!

Congrats to all for their well- deserved picks. It is an extreme honor to be considered worthy of a EP. It would not be possible without the inspiration of viewing all the fine images and all the honest critiques and helpful tips from the great group of photographers here on NPN. :wavey:

Congratulations to these outstanding '07 winners!

I often jump in when I have just a few minutes and do the silent lurk - not taking time to comment on the super photos submitted because I'm in a hurry. I'm glad I'm not trying to make the choices because sometimes arriving at a decision would be a very difficult task. Good job on our editors part as well.

It is a very special honor to be included in the Editor awards for 2007, especially among such great photographers. I wish to thank all of you for the critiques and inspiration I have received on this wonderful site. I have learned more in the last two years than in the previous ten!

My most heartfelt congratulations to this year's winners!

All the best in the New Year!

Jose

What a great honor to be selected as a runner up in the 2007 EP awards. Came back from visiting Canada for the holidays to this very pleasant surprise. Thanks to all involved and sincere congratulations to all the other EP winners of the annual contest and throughout the year.

I'm also honored to be included among the winners this year. As I write this I'm sitting in front of the one room library in Portal, Arizona (the only wireless in town!) after another day of bird searching. It's about 25 degrees out. The birds are here somewhere.....and I could really use the hat right now. Thanks for having me, and what a great group of folks to know. :wavey:

Hello,

I just found out about this today (January 2nd) - nice surprise! Heck, I didn't even know there WAS an annual EP, so winning one of the categories is a totally unexpected bonus!

Thanks to NPN and all the wonderful photographers in ALL the categories. I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of the NPN community.

Cheers and I hope everyone has a great 2008...

Wow...just found this threat, and my photo in the Avian section of the EP's 2007.
I feel quite honored. Thank's for the pick and congrats to all others.
I haven't participated as much as I would have liked in the last half of 2007 but grad. school, and various travel kept me from shooting and participating. Hope 2008 leaves more time for this!
