As is customary, this edition includes our annual Editor's Picks Awards. As has been the case every year, it was no easy task making the selections from the Weekly Picks gallery. The NPN moderators considered the 400 photos (50 per gallery) that were selected in 2007 as weekly picks and sent their "short list" recommendations for the EPA. From there, Donna and I go through all of the photos and make the final choices, making sure there are no duplicate winners and that all are current members. No doubt about it, from the weekly pick process by the NPN moderators to their EPA recommendations and the final selection, a great deal of effort is placed in this process! Our congratulations to all of this year's EPA winners and to all of those who had their photos selected as a weekly pick in 2007!
Our thanks to editor-in-chief Richard Bernabe for his time, effort and expertise in putting these articles online, and to all of our members for their participation on NPN.
Here's to another happy, healthy and photographically prosperous new year!

Wow! Thank you to all the moderators and to you, Jim and Donna for the recognition as 1st place winner in Photo Art. It is an honor that comes as a complete surprise.
I also want to thank both of you and all the moderators for the outstanding job you do all year administering NPN. This is a wonderful place. I spend a lot of time here and have made friends with many of the participants even though I have never actually met them in person.
Many of my non cyber friends hear all the time about how much my photography has improved over the last 4 years through my participation here. the articles and critiques have been like a graduate course in photography!
So, thanks again to all of you. Have a Happy New Year!

Hello,
I just found out about this today (January 2nd) - nice surprise! Heck, I didn't even know there WAS an annual EP, so winning one of the categories is a totally unexpected bonus!
Thanks to NPN and all the wonderful photographers in ALL the categories. I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of the NPN community.

Hi There,
Never having won anything and certainly not as a result of my own effort I can sure say that this is a tremendous surprise, and because I just spent two months in the hospital from an aneurism I really am just a little overwhelemed. To all of you who may have made this choice Thank You so very much. For some reason I can remember the trip out to the Sea Caves almost like it happened yesterday, can't neccessarily remember what I did yesterday, but that trip I do.
