For those of you who wish to contribute images to be considered for the winter banner of the MWNP forum, there is a January 15 deadline.
Joel Truckenbrod has requested that you contact him for the photobucket user name and password, so that you can upload images there for this project.
Images should be no larger than 600 pixels at the longest side.
Any guidelines as to how much sharpening should be applied? My concern is that an appropriate amount of sharpening to render an image presentable at 600 pixels on the long side is going to be problematic when re-sized to something much smaller.
Regardless, I won't be able to upload anything until early next week (when I'll be back in Chicago and will have access to all my images), but that shouldn't run up against the deadline.

Joel? is there anything in particular you are looking for to fill the winter banner needs at this point?
Kerry - Simply sharpen the images so that they look good at the size you save them at. When downsized, the images will loose some sharpness, and the designer may have to address sharpening again at that point. My thought is to simply give as good of a starting point as possible. Hopefully that makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.
Susie - I haven't started yet, as people are just beginging to have internet time again after new years (I received a couple more requests for image submission info last night even. So, I should have a better grasp on that in about a week. Sorry for the ambiguity!

Thank you and Happy New Year to all!

Of course, obviously I don't need any help.
