New years day quiz
Name this bird.......because I haven't a clue! It was one of those 'I'll look it up later' shots whilst shooting other stuff. I know the whites are a bit blown on this version (sorted when I get chance) but it's the ID I'm after.

Cheers and a very happy new and productive year to all :toast:

I think you might have won this one Rob

I thinks it's a nice, quirky image Paul - I think the reflection looks really interesting :wavey:

That's great, many thanks. I've been searching and surfing for an ID on this one for a while now and wasn't sure, bird ID isn’t one of my strong points. I was starting to use names such as ‘thingymebob’ and variations of the other names suggested! :toast:

Hi Paul,

What do I win !! :jump:

I would suggest going to your local bookshop or W H Smith's and picking up a copy of Collins Bird Guide ( ISBN 0 00 711332 3 by Lars Svensson, Peter J. Grant, Killian Mullarney, and Dan Zetterstrom) It's a fantastic book that covers pretty much every species of bird in europe and a section on vagrants.
