I am interested in doing some light “snowshoeing-photography” around Mt hood and was looking for some location assistance (either direct suggestions or links to additional information.) I have not done too much other than Mirror Lake and Trillium Lake. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

If the weather is cooperative, the classic mountain snowshoe is up to Cloud Cap from the Cooper Spur resort area. It's covered in the Mountaineer's guide to Oregon snowshoeing.

It's called "Snowshoe Routes Oregon" and the author is Shea Andresen. He's got three trips in the Cloud Cap area described - Cloud Cap, Tilly Jane and Cooper Spur. Look forward to seeing your photos!
