A Midwestern scene from here in Oregon
First happy 08 to all.
I went out on New years morning in the Willamette Valley in the berry, fruit tree and wine country just SW of Portland, not far from where I am living,( just south of me).

Though a simple image, this made me think of some of the images made on foggy mornings when I was back in the Midwest.

You can take Jack out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest......

Very nice shot, Mr. Graham. Wish we could get some moody conditions around here.....

Thanks for sharing! CJ

I hear we are having a January thaw this weekend.. Some rain and foggy conditions! I'll be sure to try my hand in this neck of the woods.. Thanks for the scene from your side of the country, Jack.. My bro lives up Washington way.. I miss the NW.. I'm processing some snowy scenes today and will try to get a couple posted later..

This is a scene everyone can relate to, Jack. I like the placement of the tree on one side of the frame and the mood. Reminds me of spring!

You sure that's not Hale Farm? Very serene image, Jack. We got a nice snow over the last few days. I got out to the ledges yesterday. I'll post something if I got any keepers. Don't forget to upload some images for the winter MWNP banner.

Chuck,

Thanks for the offer, but I think the MW Banner should be from you folks. There's lots of good things coming out of the forum these days.

Jack, THANK YOU. We moved here to Ohio from the Willamette Valley in '04, and you just gave my wife and I a quick peek of "home". Yes, we do get the same beautiful view here at times when the fog rolls in.

I admit, I spend time in the PNWNP site, so I see you pop up a lot. Nice having you here!
