Posted it in ESS, but wanted to post it here too to keep our community active.
I spent my extended new year's weekend in the Crescent City area, and I visited Redwood National Park. This one was taken on December 30th, as it was raining, You can see how everything is wet in this image, I did my best to not get any water in my lens. Let me know your thoughts on it, and any critique for improvement. Hard to keep good detail in this scene under 200K. Thanks!
Lovely take on these woods, Edward. Like Harley, I get the feeling of being transported among the trees. The dampness of the environment also comes across very strongly.

One of my Favs of the series, ED.
I don't know if the Greens really are too Sat?
Between the ISO and the longer exp, and the darkness of the scene
and the wetness of everything.....
to me that would make everything MORE saturated....
Maybe it is the Darkness that is
effecting everyone's experience of the image?
Maybe if you lightened it a titch they might like it more?
Looks great to me tho...and I would GO with whatever you Prefer!!
in gratitude,
Nelcha

Love this Image Edward. A great deal of depth, and I love how you've 'anchored' the grove of trees between the tree trunks on the left and right.
I agree about the greens being a tad too much...but I've also noticed if I view this in firefox rather than safari (ie without the embedded color profile) the saturation is more to my liking.

Thanks everybody for the comments, I desaturated a bit the green on the scene, and did a crop on the right to balance the composition. I believe this one is better. Let me know your thoughts.

Very nice Edward. I might be tempted to reduce the green in the ferns a bit more, but that's my personal pref. This scene feels a bit spooky with the darker lighting. Is that a trail going through the forest? If so I think I'd like to see it in the fg as well to further lead the eye into the scene. Great image, hope you post more for us to enjoy!
