Tail feathers
After seeing a couple of my first pheasant feather photos, a hunter friend brought over a whole pheasant(minus some meat) for me to work with. The version here suffers from serious compression issues, so I have posted a larger version at http://gallery.heartland-images.com/album01 . The original file size after crop is around 1800x2300. Also in that album are 3 shots that I came up with playing around with mirror images and the original feather photos. I'd appreciate comments on any or all of the images in the gallery. Thanks for looking.

Rob - I really like what you've done with "Lair of the fire demon" - very creative. The other mirrored images seem a little to kaleidescopy to me, but that's just me. The one above is interesting, but hung on a wall with the others, I probably wouldn't spend that much time looking at it.

Rob, looks like you have a nice project going here, intentional or not. After looking at your gallery I'd have to echo Tim's response. You are doing some fine work with an untraditional subject, keep it up!

Rob, your images remind me of a lot of Native American art that I have seen out west. Great work.

Thanks. The random nature of the original scene has definitely led to more interesting pics than the bird that was simply cleaned.
