I have been waiting for the rains to create this small cascade. The creek bed is dry most of the year but now that we are getting some heavy rains, it's flowing pretty good...

New camera, new lens so I was out getting a feel for it today!

Nicely done Darren!! I love the effect in the water!!! Great composition and super sharp too! Might the reds be a bit too hot? Seems a bit off to my eye.
wow, that's some water action! Very cool, Darren. And you with a new D300! You guys are killin' me. I mean it.

Looks cool, Darren - the bare roots lining the creek are very interesting... Glad to hear you are shooting again...
I'm open the next three weekends.. hint hint..

Really sweeet - love the added roots along the edges. Unique look and color/sharpness is really nice. Looks like you have a winner in camera choice

Those bare roots caught my eye too. If the reds are hot, I would say they would be appropriate here. For a forest creek shot this sure isn't restful - it's exciting and a tad bit creepy. I mean that in the best way; it's making me feel and that can only be good. Those freaky roots are falling all over each other trying to grab something - we don't know what, but it's about to rise. Darren, I suggest you come up with an evocative title for this one. I'd say it's an opportunity.
