Clear Creek Ice

On Saturday, I headed up to Clear Creek Canyon to climb some ice. One of my goals for this year is to focus more on adventure photography. As much as I like photography, I like hiking/climbing/skinning/skiing much more. In an effort to synthesize the two, I've decided to bring my full set of gear with me (rather than just the P/S) on future trips. Here's my first dedicated attempt. Comments/Critiques welcome.

Glad you've found a use for that icefall; very precipitous shot! I always long for the impossible shot at that fall before the ice climbers get to it...

Hey Scott, I really like it and by the looks of this one I'm sure you got a few more good ones on this attempt.

Most excellent, Scott. That shot is a real winner, I'd submit to Black Diamond (and use Photoshop on the crampons  )

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Paul, the crampons that he was wearing are made by Grivel (they always have yellow on their crampons) However, he WAS climbing with the new Black Diamond Cobra ice tools...

Nice shot.

Based on the stuff you are looking into shooting this year, you may want to check out the website of Mike Tittel for some ideas for future shoots.
