Hi,

Not really for critique... on Sunday I took a trip to a site that Tony and Ian Andrews have been working for some six months (probably more)... they have put in a lot of work that at times I'm sure seems like it has become an obsession... but I take my hat off to you.

Sitting behind tall grass some way from the action is strange, particularly watching the burning bush....

The reason I am posting this is that my eyes have been opened a little... the remotes are great I have ordered a couple and have lots of plans for their use. Just have to get off my backside.

Should add that no way would I be able to get the action diving and emerging shots these two have been getting...

All the best

Phil

A lovely shot - proof that Tony and Ian's hard background work has paid off.

Keep meaning to get a wireless remore myself!!

Hi Phil,
Very nice indeed......so what are the remotes you are talking about then.

I`m in the market for one after seeing Chris Lloyds the other day.........tell us more about yours!

Brian,

Tony and Ian have been using them a lot and Ian let me use one on the day... the ones they use are from Link Direct on Ebay, I have ordered two of the newer ones.... they cost around £13 pound including shipping... I am not sure whether I can put a link here but can send one privately...

Hi Phil,

Can you send me the link also please. as I bought a wireless remote from ebay, really cheap, does the job, but don't allow you to focus as well as fire the shutter.

Regards

Nice one Phil.

The newer version of the remotes can be found quite easily on e-bay by putting the word 'Aputure' and the make of your camera in the e-bay search. No, I have not spelled it wrong!!

Aputure

Like the image a lot - the remotes look good value too: doesn't appear to be one for the 1DS range though!

I don't do much with Canon, but I would have thought this one would have worked.

Thanks Ian: I'm befuddled when people talk Nikon numbers too! 1D range and 1DS range items aren't always compatibl, but at £7 it'll be worth a punt - I can always put it on E-Bay if it doesn't work!!
