First Flora Theme for 2008
Florists To The Rescue!

January 20 - 26

This is a pretty slow time of year for most of us so why not support your local florist and buy a flower or two to shoot? Shoot it indoors, outdoors, studio, whatever. If you use a special technique please share it with the group. Happy shooting. >=))>

That's an awesome image, Bill.

Costco's had wonderful flower displays as do many of the supermarkets.

Ciao ;^)

Does the Code of Ethics require us to state when we have photographed a captive plant as opposed to one shown in the wild?

John: I think its good to tell as much as possible about a shot but I really don't care where or how it was done. You'll see a mix of wild and captive flowers showcased and I certainly have no bias toward one or the other. Of course this time of year wild flora is pretty sparse, thus the theme. >=))>

What a stunning image, Bill. I hope to participate but tax season is upon me and the rushwill soon be on. If nothing else, I'll have fun viewing all the dynamite images that will be displayed.

Great idea Bill. I need a jump start back into the flora forum again, and this will be a great push to do it. No more "it's not the time of the year for flowers" excuses. Thanks.
