So cute!
We found this little mouse when photographing a common kestrel. He kept flying around us and thats when I noticed a constant "peep" around us.
We found this young mouse in the freshly mown field and when we were taking pictures of it, the kestrel kept attacking the mouse so we decided it would be better if we put the pouse in a safer spot a bit further down the road.
Pictures of the kestrel will follow
grtz,
Sam

Wow what a shot Sam! My only nit is that it looks a tiny bit pale and maybe would benefit from a levels adjustment, but that maybe subjective.
A really lovely and as said cute image, Maybe a touch more contrast would be good and its a shame the eye isnt open but lovely as is, I guess there is an ethical thing going on ablout moving it but dont blame you and many people would do the same

Nits covered, nice image.
Personally, I'd have been more tempted to leave it put with the camera on a grond spike and see if I could get the Kestrel taking it!

Very nice image. It looks very young. Maybe it fell from the nest accidentally in which case moving it may have condemned it to a slow death from starvation rather than a quick one as a snack for a Kestrel.

I know it is tough (especially when the prey is this cute) but we really must not intervene. The kestrel needs to survive too. RE: the image - it is super sweet. The mouse looks very young and its great with the tail curled around the stem. It needs processing work. I feel the white-balance is a little off and their is a pink cast.

Have to agree with Elliott on the intervention front - as tough as it is (have this debate every month or so when my mother rings to complain about the Sparrowhawks taking all her Finches etc!!).
The image though, with a little tweaking, is really cute and I like the closed eye: adds to the vulnerability.

Lovely shot Sam, it looks too young to be out and its eyes aren't open properly yet. Elliot is absolutely right - never ever intervene. I would have moved it too, Am I a weak person?
Judging by the highlight on the stem, I would say it is a bit on the light side.

Hi Sam
Nice shot of a mammal few of us see in the wild. Re moving it - the sad thing is as it is very young and it is doubtful that it will have survived on it's own anyway!
