Home on the Front Range
There are not too many places on the front range, Pikes Peak region that you can get a clean view like this.

Nice shot James! Let me guess... Hmmm....

Since you have been re-enlisted (well not really ) is it from the base or the airport?

Life on the Farm looks kinda laid back...

By the way, yesterday, I finally got to order my Office's new DSLR system for me to use at work in place of my own system. I only had $3K to work with and needed lenses, body, bag, cards, and an off camera flash with bracket.

So I ordered the Fuji Finepix S5 Pro with the Nikon 18-200mm VR, 1.5 Teleconverter, Body Armor, cards and a Lowepro Bag with the SB800 flash and other little things from B&H.

I know it's based on the Nikon D200 and has an effective 6.1mp sensor, but when shooting RAW highest, I actually get 12.1mp of resolution. According to DP Review, I got a good deal and reading the over all comments from D200 owners who moved to the S5 Pro, I am certain I did a good purchase.

2fps in burst does not matter for me as I'm not shooting FA18's doing High Speed Fly-bys. I think shooting an M1A2 Abrams doing nearly 60mph down range will be easy enough to shoot.

Cool, looks like your ready for ready for some serious shootin'!

And the lat/lon shows CS Airport. My first guess was Ft. Carson. But it does look a bit east of the base.

Was this shot today?

The first two were from today around 11:00am on my way home for the day. I have to Work Saturday night to cover a story I am writing for the paper so I took off early. This Falcon was taken yesterday at about 4:30pm on my way home.

You know James, I was thinking of another spot almost directly in line with where you were but further east.
