Puffin + REPOST
Hi guys,

Sorry for not being here much. Very busy doing all sorts of things.
Unfortunatly I don't have time to go out and take photographs so here's one from last year at the Farne Islands.
iso 200 1/200 sec. F8

Love the colours and the deatil/exposure is spot on-classic Puffin with the sandeels,The puffin is abit central and tight top and bottom, Cant help but think this would have worked better on portrait

Thanks Dave. I was wondering also if a vertical would be better. So I made a vertical portrait.
Any better?

Great stuff! And Dave's suggestion has come up trumps! The original was good, the vertical crop is even better!

The Portrait Crop definitely works better – love it! Nice expression from the Puffin!

Much prefer the portrait Edwin. I think it's the lack on headroom on the landscape that makes it look unbalanced :toast:

Hi Ed,

Really like both shts, but do agree the repost is better.
The "dreamlike" environment of this one with the Puffin standing out from it makes this shot for me!
Also the amount of fish these birds carry are amazing.

Well done mate!

Hope we can find some time to get out there together some day soon..
